Week 15 - Crafting on the brain
April 7 -
No crafts, but I did clean some of the cushions on the couch as they were filthy and needed attention. Also did some yard work and took out some bigger items for our yearly bulk trash pick up. Can’t really craft tomorrow as I have previous obligations. BUT Tuesday is promising. * crosses fingers *
I did read quite a bit today and I took the little one to the park to play. I need to sit down with a planner and get back into the habit of planning out my week. I think that’s been part of my issue with remembering to post (which I know it’s only really happened once, but it still bothers me).
So, that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to go grab my planner and start making myself more accountable.

Today was productive! While I didn’t get much done on the crafting front, I did complete a lot at work and got stuff done after work that needed to be done.
In terms of my crafting, I played catch up on my cross-stitch book case. I was about 5 books behind and spent about an hour filling in the books. If I keep going at my current rate, I should have 1-2 more to add next week. I should have some free time at home tomorrow so I will begin working on cutting apart some old Christmas cards to repurpose in a crafty way.
April 9 -
I did not get any crafting done, however I did get 10,000 steps today. I walked around while the little one was playing soccer. I also cooked dinner, which hasn’t happened for a bit. While walking around, I listened to my audiobook. It’s looking like I’ll either finish it tonight before going to sleep or tomorrow afternoon.
April 10 -
Well, I had plans on trying to do a little crafting tonight, but alas, life happened. I got a flat tire and had to spend time airing up the flat tire so I could drive back home and change it. Now, I could have changed it while out around town, but I also know that a lot of times when a guy sees a girl doing something, like changing a tire, they feel the need to assist or do it for them. Well, I’m not down for that tomfoolery. Perhaps I missed an opportunity to meet the man of my dreams, but I’ll change my tire in my driveway, thanks.
I did finish the book tonight. It was okay. Not my usual genre, but still a little predictable.
April 11 -
Crafting FINALLY happened! I’ve come up with a plan to create our Christmas cards for this year out of previous Christmas cards that have been received from friends and some that were donated to me when I was making tree ornaments. I’ve got A LOT of cards to cut up. But, I have a plan and it will really help get the old cards out of the house and I’ll feel a little less weighing me down in regard to unfinished projects and items taking up space. Plus, when the time comes to begin assembling the cards, I can have the little one help since he likes helping.
I started a new book. It’s a Gateway title for next school year. I’m like 37% done with it and bored. I’ve read a book by the same author previously and she just writes in a way that doesn’t spark enjoyment for me.
April 12 -
I was unable to craft or read tonight due to obligations with the club I sponsor. Perhaps tomorrow will be better.
April 13 -
I woke up early and spent some time with my little one while he watched a show he likes. Then we went to a soccer game. Not totally sure for the plans for the entire day, but I should be able to fit in some crafting this evening. Oh yeah, I have to pack for my conference too. * face palm *
