Week 17 - Crafting takes many forms
April 21 -
I started a digital book from the library today. It’s going pretty quickly as the premise for the book is interesting and I look forward to seeing how it ends. I think I have an idea, but I’m not omniscient so I could be wrong.
No crafting today.

Last day of spring break. So the little one and I decided to repot some plants and throw some seeds in potting soil and see what pops up. With the incoming rain this week, perhaps things will grow. *fingers crossed*
No crafting, but ya know, I count planting seeds as doing something beneficial to my goal of creating more beautiful things in this world.
April 23 -
I worked a lot on the repurposed Christmas cards this evening. The little one doesn’t feel the greatest so he went to bed super early and fell asleep.
I finished the digital book from the library. It ended very similarly to how I imagined. However, I still enjoyed the premise of the book. I like it when quick read romance books throw a different premise my way. I also finished one of the Gateway titles tonight. It was okay, but I can only take so much YA before I begin the intense eye rolling. LOL!
April 24 -
The little one was pretty upset that he didn’t get to help with the Christmas cards, so we’ll have to work together on them in the future. He really wants to help. I love that he is such a helpful boy. He wasn’t feeling too good today either so no joint work on the cards. Hopefully he’ll feel better and we can work on it this weekend.
April 25 -
The Perfect Date!!!! I got the oldest with the quote from Miss Congeniality this morning. He was in his room and I asked him what the date was. He responded with “April 25th” and out of my mouth rolled the quote about it being the perfect date. He replied with “Oh my god, mom,” but he smiled and chuckled a little. I love doing silly things like that to him.
No reading or crafting today as I took the day off and worked on the senior video for the senior banquet along with taking time to watch my oldest perform with his ensemble at the MSHSAA State Music festival. I can’t wait to find out what rating they received. They did a good job and I’m so glad I was there to see it.
April 26 -
They got a silver rating!!!!
Today was not a crafty kinda day. At work I did a lot for the senior video, then went to dinner with a friend and attended a play that was put on by the drama class from work. When I got home, I started working on the video again. I really need to get it finished (or almost finished) before Wednesday of next week. I have a lot to do next week and need to focus on getting this video finished so I can switch my focus. I don’t bring work home usually, but because the senior class pays me for this, I don’t mind spending quality time on it at home, especially since it’s only a few days.
April 27 -
Today is shaping up to be a sort of busy day so we shall see if I make time for crafting tonight. There’s a decent chance that I will make some time, especially since I promised the little one he can help me glue the designs on the cards.
