Week 23 - Enter the June (fitness) bug

Today, I started off my month of fitness with the best possible thing happening. The band on my watch broke. *face palm* I ordered a new one, but it won’t be here until next week. However, I think I can rig it to work, but I’ll have to see about that tomorrow.
To deal with my frustration, I decided to clean my room. It feels SO much better in my space now. Tomorrow I will move on to another room of the house to make it feel better too.
I am also going to try and eat better, which I started some in May. So, I’ll take some photos and measurements tomorrow and add them to the blog and track throughout the month to see if I can actually lose a little weight or redistribute the weight I have.

We traveled to my hometown for a birthday party of a family friend today. She turned 2. It was wonderful to see her, her brother, and her mama. We had a very nice visit and I helped out with serving cake, pouring drinks and setting up the table so the birthday girl’s mom could enjoy the party and not have to worry about those small details. After we left the party, we went to my favorite pizza place in town and had a yummy meal before heading home. Once home, I decided it was time to tackle the bathroom. I feel a lot better now that it and my room are in better shape. Now to move on to other rooms in the house when I've got time to focus and get it done to my standard.

The beginning of the final full week of summer school! Woo hoo!!! Nothing much to report today as it was a slow day. I did have one student finish and we chatted about books for about 45 minutes. That was nice.

Today was a day full of typing up tickets for student chromebook repairs. Overall there have been over 200 tickets submitted to the system. My little fingers are tired! I had another student finish today. Woo hoo! The little one had a coding group thing at the local library for the reading program he is participating in this year. We drove up there because we didn’t have enough time to walk after I got home from work. Maybe I’ll be able to make it home in time to walk next week, but then again I may not because it’s the last day of summer school.

The last student that has pretty consistently shown up for Summer School finished today! They had one test left to finish and they were done before 9 am. I am so glad that I can now get a big bulk of the stuff done that needs to be completed before my summer break begins. I gave the go ahead to shampoo the carpet in the Media Center. Because I gave the go ahead, I need to move all of the tables out of the way and clear space to have the student workers do what they need to do. The little one signed up to participate in a Lego group that is part of the summer program at the library. Again, I didn’t make it home in time to walk up there, regardless he had a good time.

The week is winding down. With the bulk of students being done with Summer School, I’m able to step away from my desk and get some other things done around the Media Center. I covered books, sorted papers, and cleaned off some surfaces that had clutter on them.
The little one had dance class tonight and I kind of want to join him and do the same activities while I watch because they don’t seem like they’d cause injury or anything. Perhaps I’ll do the stretching alone with the class next week. After class ended, he wanted to go for a walk so we walked around downtown a bit. It’s always nice when he wants to do that. I need to tell him yes much more often.
